Back in 2011 I lost one of the closest things to my heart, my sister Rosie, to stage 4 lung cancer. An underwriter for safety insurance in Boston, she was a very successful woman with one child, who is now a scientist, and three grandchildren. She was a hot rod enthusiast and having a fast or hot looking car was her passion. Back in the 70's, she had a Pontiac LeMans with twin carbs coming through the hood, it was pushing 400 plus horsepower. In 2005 she bought a new Corvette, so she loved her speed back when I owned a Camaro. She thought it was the hottest thing that her beautiful brother, she said, was in a hot car. She was my best friend and cancer took her life in 8 months time. She told me to say at her funeral (which I did) my sister wasn't a fighter that she just did not want to f****** die. So in honoring my sister, besides my beautiful tattoo of a cross in a rose with her name on it, I built my 2016 Dodge Challenger Shaker RT and named it Rosie. I'm sure I will have more cars in my future but this one car I will never get rid of and I will just keep making it better and faster and love life with it for her. Every time I sit in that seat behind the wheel I say a prayer ... this one's for you Rosie ... and rev that engine and burn as much rubber as I can. I love and miss you Ro now and forever ... your baby brother Sal!!!
